Anniversary Tee and Punk Muffin Coming May 12th

Coming to you May 12th, 2012, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Urban Misfit Society, I am proud to announce the release of our Limited Edition Anniversary Tee, as well as Punk Muffin, our new line of kid’s apparel. Since UMS started production in early 2011 we have been so fortunate to collaborate with several highly respected artists. I am pleased to share with you today that both our anniversary shirt and Punk Muffin collection will be featuring such collaborations!

The anniversary tee is a limited edition of 100 prints. Designed by Brian Love, each shirt is packaged in a craft paper string tie envelope. Each envelope has a unique piece of artwork done by graffiti artist Antonio Murrajo AKA Tony Stark. On the package you will find that Tony has left both his signature and numbered your package by hand. With your package you will also be receiving a hand numbered letter of appreciation and authenticity that includes the signatures of the co-founders Brian and Ellie Love.

Punk Muffin by UMS is sure to delight you and your little one. The 1950’s classic themed design work on this project is both streamline and modern. Head designer Brian Love worked the graphics out of hand drawn images by Johnny Vickers. The initial collection will be featuring four Punk Muffin originals that will all run from 2T to 6T.

We would also like to give a special thanks to Sean and Stefanie Montano, the owners of Stilo Lifestyle Accessories, for supporting us and helping to connect us with some of the amazing artists we have had the pleasure of working with. Stay tuned over the next ten days for more releases on teasers, information and the finished product.

Much Love,

UMS

Break Dancer Spunjbob at City Vs City

Whether you’ve been with UMS since day one or just found us, welcome and thanks for your support. Thanks to Natane and Chris Lim of check-it productions and The Sisters of The Underground, this past Saturday we were more than blessed to be a vender at City Vs City right here in Albuquerque, NM. We have met so many inspirational people through the Breaking scene and wanted to share them with you. This national break dancing battle is a showcase of strength, creativity and hometown pride. The Evening was filled with one on one battles and city vs city battles where each group worked the crowd, bared their souls and duked it out to take 1st place home for their City. We managed to take a lot of great photos of the dancers in action that we will share on our Facebook page. Please stop by and check them all out!
Don’t Sleep,
UMS
